WELCOME TO OUR MULTIVERSE.
You've slipped through the ephemeral veil of gossamer that separates your own world from ours. It is a train which mysteriously brought you here. These trains also serve as our lifeblood by interconnecting our six dimensions.

Hialao is the nucleus, a modern, sunny and hospitable seaside realm; Wildewall is steeped in tradition, good for those with archaic roots and a taste for wilderness; Elestis is the fantasy land of ever-tumbling magic and whimsical imagination; Parse whirs like the massive digital machine that it is, advanced and technological.

Barrows is the breeding ground of chaos, with refrains of grunge and anachronistic crime; Tethya is the small but glorious underwater world reminiscent of Victorian times; and those who don't feel at home in any of these places, or simply like to wander, are known as Drifters.

one of the most popular destinations of lake amaranth -- of the entire dimension even -- is loredian city, home to the many merfolk of the lake. it's a shining spectacle, many tall, bright buildings that can be seen from most anywhere within the lake. much of the city consists of shops, restaurants (though most who come to visit don't pay those much mind; eating underwater is significantly different than eating above it) and the like. Most of the homes are near the outside of the city, since naturally staying the night isn't in most people's interests. The merfolk welcome the attention (tourism is what keeps their city afloat, as it were) and the best thing is they keep plenty of potions for underwater breath on stock just in case you're running low.

as you can likely guess from its name, the crystal cave is quite the scenic spot -- it seems rather ominous from the outside, the mouth of the cave is dark and gaping, but once you get inside and go a ways, the darkness gives way to gleaming, glittering green crystals that line the walls and ceiling - even the stalactites and stalagmites are made of this same sparkling substance. eventually the cave splits into many different passageways, and it can be easy to get lost if you aren't careful. however if your breathing potion begins to run out, don't fret; if you go far enough, part of the caves breach above water, and there is air to breathe. if you look hard enough, you may be able to find a way out to the surface there. be wary, though, it's said that many sea monsters make their homes in this vast cave.

somewhere in the depths of lake amaranth rests shipwreck row, where countless pieces of ruined ships lie in a watery grave. likely these are just more remnants of the pirates of old, but the sight is definitely an eerie one. it's said that many water spirits haunt this sight, and apparitions aren't uncommon. in fact, some of the more aggressive spirits may go so far as to try and chase you out of shipwreck row, though it's unlikely they could actually harm you. (perhaps not impossible.) there are other things to watch out for as well, like sharks and water pixies (equipped with sharp nails and teeth) and sirens that will call to you only to drag you down and eat you; there are also rumors of a kraken living somewhere in the row. needless to say it's easy to see why most of the residents of the lake steer clear of this area.

on the outskirts of loredian city, hidden behind a particularly large batch of seaweed, lies hippocamp reef. for those who know about it, the reef is a popular destination. the coral is color-changing, the water seems to shimmer and gleam here, likely because of the magical presence of the hippocampi herd that favors this location. the hippocampi are incredibly friendly creatures -- some will even give you rides if treated nicely. the reef is also often home to dolphins and seahorses, turtles and colorful schools of fish. if you're looking for a place to sightsee besides the city, this is usually the top pick.
