Sometimes Yuugi wondered if his boss remembered that he went to school. It would explain why some of his delivery requests came so close to when class ended. Just like this one. He...well, he needed the money, so he always took them...but….it was still going to be a close call. He knew it was. The worst part though was that...if he was late, it would reflect badly on the service….and also on himself. If he wanted to get more work, and...more money, he had to be on time. Which meant running really really fast from school to the delivery office to the parcel pickup location. He felt a little bit bad, ordinarily he would have said goodbye to his classmates but today he didn’t have any time. He had to go right to the office to pick up the parcel and then get to the delivery stop quick.
He sort of wished he’d taken his bike to school but he hadn’t expected to need it. Boss had texted him during lunch break and asked if he was able to….he’d even put a smiley face in it and everything….and he knew there was no way the others would take a shift at this time, plus he really did kind of need the money, he was getting by enough to pay the rent and eat a meal but….it would be nice to have enough to buy a week or two week’s worth of food and not so much food from cheap diners. N-no offense to diners of course...but...real food...would be nice sometimes...
He kind of missed Jiichan, and okasan, they...were the ones who made food for him in the past. Even Anzu-chan showed him how to cook a little so he took that skill as best as he could, but...he was really a little worried. Would he be able to survive on his own? He’d...gotten himself a job, um, and he was going to school, and he had a room to himself...so….it could be worse...actually it wasn’t that bad...on his own...for the first time….
Yuugi hoofed it, running as fast as he could to the little dingy building that was his...office, sort of. It wasn’t really an office, he didn’t spend too much time there. Usually he just went there to pick up whatever needed to be delivered elsewhere and from there he jumped to whichever dimension needed the delivery. This time it was just in Hialao, which was good because that was where his main office was and it also meant he was more likely to make it on time. No waiting for trains and whatnot. He had the address to the delivery location plugged into his gps on his phone and was just looking down to double check when-
Yuugi let out a squeak and dropped to the ground, his package falling out of his arms as he himself dropped down onto his rump rather hard, squinting his eyes shut as he tried to gather his bearings. He shook his head a little, whining quietly. ”O-o-ow….” he wheezed, blinking his eyes open and looking up to see….a...a...a...another p-person….he...oh…..
Yuugi sat forward at once, bowing down in front of the young lady.
”P-Please, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean t-to run into you miss….”
